Best phone for parents

So today my dad asked me what new android phone he should get to replace his old Droid 3, which has been slowly but surely dying. As the typical AC enthusiast, I jumped at the chance and immediately started rattling off specs and comparisons between HTC, Samsung, and what have you. Which obviously made no sense to him. So I pose the question to you: which current flagship is the best for parents? Some additional info: my dad is around 50 years old, he's pretty technical (been in the business for years) but not really on top of everything current, and is an avid mobile photographer. I'm personally leaning toward the G3, but I'm curious to hear from you guys.

I think the g3 is a good idea. Great phone best specs overall than any other phone!
