Best phone to Worst phone

Um the loading is due to software not hardware sense 4 is large and uses a lot of resources. The since I loaded the update I haven't seen a single reload of rosy. And to hold a grudge against HTC for the g1 really that device was released in what 08 at the time android was marred with bugs. And to say the s2 didn't have issues is funny I had an att version and it was probably the second worse built phone that I've had next to the og pre.
And to the op a factory reset is your friend you could be loading apps that just don't work right with your software configuration. Poor signal is all sprint try to update your prl and try the latest update I've had good luck with it

With what's under the hood, the performance of the phone should be better than what it is. So sense is poorly optimized imo, and it's not just the loading screen that makes me say that.

What do you mean by the s2 being poorly built? What issues did you have with it, or is this just another one of those it feels cheap cop-outs.. either way I'm only saying I never had issues with mine. Want to talk about poor build. How about this evo already being loose and creaking in certain areas after a few days. Or not being able to have headphones in and wifi on without getting a lot of feedback.

I don't know post update my phone has been very snappy just as fast as cm10 running on this hardware.
why did I say the s2 was poorly built the screen couldn't stand up to a months usage while naked. I hadn't even dropped the phone and all I could see were scratches all over the screen from change or who knows what. My phone loosened up quite a bit in six months of use my phone looked like phil's poor bolt. First drop that cheap plastic scratch the whole coating off of the side showing the bare plastic and huge dents from falling less than 2 feet. No I won't deny HTC isn't the best when it comes to hardware but they at least invest money into the design and feel of said hardware.
But if you don't like the EVO lte ok cool I'm not here to try and change your mind and say it's the best thing since sliced bread. I'm just stating my opinion

I talked with a Sprint Manager about the issues i'm having with my phones. So far they don't want to replace with another brand. Today my phone didn't receive a text my wife sent, a phone call she made didn't show up. Some owners say they haven't had any issues, i have. I'm still going to try to get Sprint to replace with the S3.

yea im trying to get the s3 as well but i keep getting told that i will only be able to receive a evo lte only unless i pay full price for a different phone or my 2 year contract is up

I also have not had any of the issues mentioned here. I know there's a lot of people around here bashing HTC and the EVO LTE, and while Sense did have the reload issue (only isses I had) it has been resolved via OTA software update and the phone runs incredibly smooth. As far as HTC putting out poor quality products, I own both the SGS3 and the EVO LTE and without a doubt, the HTC is superior in almost every way to the SGS3. IMO, the EVO combines the best of design and quality (metal construction), which HTC has always been known for, the features lacking in the One X like SD card slot, bigger battery, and Sense, now that the reloads are fixed, is much better than Samsung's TouchWiz in every way.

You must be past the 30 day policy. If you don't have TEP (insurance), they are being nice to even give you in-store replacements of the EVO. But yeah, that's the policy, after 30 days you cant exchange your phone for a different model.

Missing or severely delayed texts is a very common network problem that is not tied to any brand or model phone. A missing call is likely similar.

just a heads up. i have talked to the retention team and regional managers nobody will put you in a different device. i was having the same issue. i have 15 tickets and over 100 phone calls over the past two months with different deparments of sprint and still was in the evo. changing phone companys most likely

Can the S3 be worse than the EVO LTE? I've read a lot of reviews, most of which favor the S3 over the EVO LTE.

I had the EVO LTE for a short time, and I have to say that I like the S3 better.

I loved the EVOs hardware, and was really liking Sense but the random closing of apps was irritating. After the second time that the alarm app closed, I returned it. I didn't want to take the chance that HTC wouldn't fix the issue, since (at the time) they said that the aggressive memory management was a feature. If that hadn't been an issue, I'd still have it. I'm glad that they fixed the problem for you EVO owners.

But now that I have the S3, I couldn't see going back.

Some of you with 3 & 4 replacement phones should put up a list of apps that you have loaded. IMO, there are too many evo owners without a single problem for the same people to have repeated issues to be an HTC/sprint problem.

All of my phones were checked out by a Sprint Tech. They determined the phones were bad. I took them all in with the apps installed. Not sure what the apps have to do with it.

Any feed back on the Droid 4....also what would be a good choice for the physical key pad style smart phone... thanks...

Seems its always the same people with all the problems! I must be very "lucky" because I have never had to replace any smartphone I have owned!

Sent From My EVO 4G LTE!

I'd say you are lucky. So far the cost of the TEP thru Sprint has paid off. All of my phones have been checked out before being replaced & were found defective. That's 4 HTC EVO LTE's total in 3 months.

My phone starting to act up too I mean what this supposed mean ?

My latest phones are having issues as well. I'm not getting all texts, calls from my wife on her EVO LTE, bad reception, unable to close open screens by swiping. Sprint tells me i can get a S3 for $549.00 less $120.00 trade in. For that amt. i can cancel & go with another carrier with a different phone. All of my phones have been determined defective, i don't want to continue going to get them checked out. I can spend at least a hour per phone to have them checked out. Then if they are defective i have to go to BB to have my Zagg replaced. A week ago i spent well over an hour waiting for my phone to be checked out, then another hour @ BB. That is too time consuming. Don't understand why some have no issues.

Same here it keep switching from 3G to WiFi and then sometime I get nothing at all. Lucky though I never took it in to them I read forum and search for solution to my problem I just hope it don't be a problem so bad that I have to bring it in.
