So finally have my nexus replacement and I am rooting tonight. Looking for a good stable rom? Your thoughts....?

Codename is the name of the rom game right now. If you want more of a stock look but with great speed check out bugless beast.

Does the bugless beast have better battery life opposed to stock? I'm rooted, stock. Haven't made any flash dives yet.

Codename and francos#12 have been great so far with battery life. Been off the charger for about 10 hours with a lot of browsing, YouTube and some twitter, few phone calls and still have 52% left. Not to mention its crazy fast and stable

+ 1 for codename. This ROM takes everything great about the android community and rolls it all into one flashable package.

I usually go bugless beast, but I think I will give codename a go, seems to be pretty popular. Thanks folks!

I have tried a bunch of different ones. I'm running codename right now, but AOKP is also good. Tons of customization in both, but AOKP seems to have the most support for mods, themes, etc.

The killer question: Do you prefer Codename over AOKP? I know the next version of AOKP is going to require a wipe, apparently, so I figure I should make the jump now if it's better.

Personally I prefer codename, but its all about preference. I like the cleaner look of the toggles, etc.

Codename is amazing, really cool features. Notice the clock and soft keys.

Great toggles including a working LTE. Also can change "verizon wireless" to custom message. Only thing I am unsure of is NFC?

I definitely love Codename also and I have tried a couple different ROMs such as Tranquil, GummyNex, Liquid and AXI0M. I liked Liquid a lot but its not quite a daily driver but I would definitely consider Codename a daily driver as of the latest version.

My favorite so far has been aokp running either faux kernel or imoseyon, though I've found imoseyon gives me the best battery life/speed balance

While I find the lte toggle to be nice I prefer the toggles used in aokp seeing their more like the stock ics toggles in the setting menu plus I find the always their toggles to be an eye sore

Based on the polls I've seen on numerous sites, the favorites are AOKP and Codename. Both roms are very similar in a lot of ways. I use Codename but I would recommend you flash a variety different ones and see which one works best for your phone. Good luck.
