What's your current and 'ideal' monitor setup?

I use two monitors at home, one's a 23" in vertical orientation, perfect for editing MS Word docs, and 29" LG Ultrawide.

Work setup
42" TV for service boards and cameras in the shop
2 x 24" for email, Teams, MAS, OneDrive and day to day applications
My Surface Pro 7 for personal use
Dell keyboard and mouse with multi channels to toggle between desktop and Surface. 20200325_051756.jpg

Suppose I need to update this with my current work-at-home setup. Have to make-due with the 24" Asus monitor I bought for gaming, which has been connected to the Mac Mini (top right, under Mr. Met) in addition to the 14" laptop display. Quite the adjustment compared to the 3x 20" monitors I have at work.

This is what I'm using now (24" HD Samsung monitor). I'm going to add a mechanical RGB keyboard soon.

I realize this post is over 5 years old, but it's worth revisiting.
My ideal setup is the one I have now - a single LG 38" curved monitor with two inputs permanently wired, DisplayPort and HDMI. The desktop computer is connected to the DisplayPort, and the HDMI cable is connected to the monitor but left dangling at the other end (typically used for a laptop). As soon as I connect a 2nd device to the HDMI cable, the monitor pops up a menu asking which input to use, or both. If "both" is selected, the monitor goes into split-screen mode and displays both computer's video side by side.

Usually we expect spammers in older threads lol
But hopefully someone sees this and your tip helps 👍

Here is my setup. I have a 9950X for gaming and work.

I have been a one monitor guy for some years now. About 30" and 2500 px wide, 16:10 if I can.

I work as a software developer. I find one monitor keeps my focus the best, and the shortcuts to switch virtual desktops are well ingrained in my brain. The notifications on new e-mails and chat messages are well implemented in macOS which is what I use for work.

At home I don't really need two monitors either. Civilization (Sid Meier's) works fine on one monitor
