Best screen protector for Strat

I've just put on the last of the starter set of screen protectors that I got when I bought my Stratosphere. That means it's time to shop. The Smartseries brand that I got with the phone at the (non-corporate) Verizon store is OK, but nothing special. Does anyone have a recommendation for screen protectors that are custom-made for the Strat and do a good job of letting that beautiful screen show through?

I've heard good things about the Steinheil protectors (in this thread), but as far as I can tell they don't make one specifically for the Strat. Zagg Invisible Shield makes great claims for scratch protection, but I wonder about the clarity/transparency.

So, any suggestions?

Actually, Sam's Club sells Invisishields for the stratosphere. That's what I've got on my phone. I've only used 2 though... the Invisishield and the Verizon co-branded ones.

I have Strat specific anti-glare protectors that I got from the VZW online store. I like them because they don't show scratches like the clear ones do. I've been using the same one for months. Using the clear ones, I would have to change the protector fairly often because of the scratches.

I find the toughest part of any screen protector is putting them on the phone without air bubbles or dust particles showing underneath the protector. I've wasted several in the process of getting rid of the bubbles. It's very frustrating. I would like hearing anyone has any ideas for avoiding this situation.

I know! The Verizon reps do it without any bubbles! I use scotch tape on the screen to remove any dust or anything like that, then put the screen protector on. I still have bubbles around the edges but none o. The screen.

Scotch tape? Isn't that likely to leave some adhesive residue that will mess up the screen??

With the first one I tried to put on I got lots of bubbles. On the second one I somehow just really forced it quickly, I think, and ended up with no bubbles at all. It can be done, but it's hard.

WRT the anti-glare protectors, jrh4054, how do those affect your experience of what's on the screen? The ones I got from Verizon when I first bought the screen noticeably dull the brilliance of the display.

Dave, yes the anti-glare protectors do slightly dull the screen, but for me they're worth it because they last so long without scratching. I've since found, but haven't tried, a protector that goes on wet like a decal and this suppoesedly avoids the bubble/dust problem.

Yeah, I did get quite a scratch on the screen protector recently when I stupidly put the phone in a pocket with keys in it. Made me really glad I used the screen protector though!

Keys in the pocket are the worst enemy of screen protectors. Although it's heavy and thick, I carry my Strat in my shirt pocket to avoid the key problem.
