PRO If you own the tablet and have no desire to purchase the keyboard dock, then I believe this is the skin for you!
After the skin is applied to the screen, it's almost impossible to even tell it's there. Even when you swipe or tap the screen it feels like glass and responds like it should.
CON I really hate to say anything negative about this BSE skin because overall is a really nice skin. Fits perfect on front and back. However, the skin is thicker than most other skins. I'll post pictures later when I get home because I want to show you the tolerances that ASUS allowed for the tablet dock clearance. With the skin applied on both sides of the tablet, it appears that the dock does not have enough clearance to fit the tablet. First let me say, yes the tablet will dock with the skin applied, but your dock will leave impressions on the skin when you undock. The keyboard even leaves impressions on the screen after being shut, and I'm not just talking about the little bumpers on left, right, and top of keyboard. The keys are starting to leave rub marks on the screen and even the little nipples on the F & J keys are leaving impressions which is really annoying.
So here are a few pics of the tablet with the full body skin installed.
So the Prime is roughly 8.3mm thick which translates to .3237 thousandths of an inch. The dock itself has an opening of .330 (+/- .005) thousandths
The film is roughly .010 thousandths thick which must be applied to front and back
So, after adding the extra .020 in thickness
So essentially what happens is your applying close to .020 of press. The tablet will slide in just fine but as you can see in the picture....the film will leave an impression of that pressure being applied.
Still more to come...testing links
Anyways I have to run to class and work real quick. I'll post pics and a small video of a carry bag that I purchased for my Prime as well. A must have for students..
