Best solution for dealing with loss of groups in contacts?

I really miss the lack of groups in contacts. I tried a third-party solution but doesn't work well

Which phone? The Google Contacts app allows you to display your Labels, which are essentially the same as your groups. You can then send an email to the whole group this way. Are you able to install Google Contacts on your phone?
