I haven't jumped on the tablet bandwagon yet......but I want too. I'm looking for a ~10 tablet that has a 4x3 aspect ratio (not the iPad). The majority of the time it will be for reading (PDF's specifically) not video watching. I don't mind having the black bars when I do decide to watch videos. Anyway, I'd love to hear some suggestions for the best android tablet with this specification!

Thanks

I'm not sure if you are going to find any ~10" tablet's with a 4x3 aspect ratio... the iPad/iPad2 & new iPad are all 1x1 aspect ratio... and most of the better Android devices are mostly wide screen. Personally I'd think a wide screen would be ideal, since you can turn it sideways and see much more of a PDF then you could on a 4x3 screen.

Most sites that give comparisons of tablets consider the ASUS Transformer Prime as one of the top Android tablets... and since they are rumored to be producing the first Google Tablet (which should be budget friendly), and also within the next few months the largest resolution Android Tablet I've heard of to date (1920x1200 in a 10"inch tablet)... both the Google Tablet and the new ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity should be coming in the next couple months.

Best option and only one I know of with native 4x3 resolution is HP Touchpad (16 and 32gb) and I Love mine running webOS and Android ICS dual boot and working pretty well (Wifi still a problem on Android).

Thankfully HP Touchpad prices are coming down on ebay or otherwise and with enough effort anything is possible.
