Best thin cases for Pixel 2 XL?

Have you considered a Spigen thinfit? It is my go-to because I like a thin case with key cutouts BUT I like the option to rest my phone upside down knowing there is at least a very slight lift from the glass and the table. It is a hard case but the black ones always seem to be coated in a nice mat rubbery texture which I like.

@jsarino Have you tried any of the other TPU cases. I have the As-Guard and Love Ying and they are exactly the same and also look like the one you have. Just wondering if the Fosmon is different than those. I also got the X Level guardian case which is very thin. slightly thicker than the MNML with a soft TPU feel. Adds no bulk to the phone but doesn't provide a lot of protection. It's the case I prefer so far.

I was going to try the Love Ying next if the Fosmon didn't work. I hadn't considered the X Level only because I was seeking a clear case.

If they made a clear version, I would've been all over it. :D

Interesting. I wonder if it's even thinner than my Fosmon. I like how the camera holes on yours are even more covered up. Post pics of it with the case on, if you can!

@Csquared - Nice! Is it me, or the sides are a white smoked appearance? It looks as thin as my Fosmon, but with even better camera coverage. I did look it up on eBay. If I were to get it now, it won't arrive in time before I go overseas. Maybe I can find it from one of the shops in Malaysia and Singapore. :) Thanks for sharing the pics!

Found a case that looks promising though expensive. Supposed to be super strong. Starts shipping next week.

I ordered one with a car mount. If I don't like it they have a 30 day money back guarantee though you have to pay shipping.

Pitaka is back in stock. Been out of stock for a month at least. I've had mine for a couple months and love it with the car mount. I have six other cases collecting dust after purchasing this one.

Agreed. I've had mine a week now and I really like it. Just like on my 6P.
Already saved me yesterday when my 2xl fell out of my dress shirt pocket as I was picking something up outside my front door onto the concrete. Corner of bumper got a little scuffed but phone is still pristine.

If you really want thin, take a look rhinoshield bumpers. I received one yesterday and loved using it today.

I had one of these on the Pixel XL, but while I loved the protection, I found the buttons to be ridiculously difficult to press with virtually no tactile feel at all. How is the new one?

By comparison, I'm waiting on reviews of the new "Grip" bumper by Dbrand, for which they're touting excellent button feel, protection, etc.

Pixel 2 XL was the second most popular device in their campain, so will be one of the first to be fulfilled - looking forward to seeing reviews.

Does this case have a small lip to protect the screen when laying flat on a desk?

How would it cope with a drop on a hard surface, would it give some protection?

TIA

Nope there isn't a lip to protect the screening laying flat. I wouldn't consider the case more than scratch protection really. I have insurance so I'm willing to take the risk I guess.

What do you guys think about this case? This is a Google Slim live case someone on Reddit posted with the Panda colors. I just order one for my Panda 2 XL. This gives the Panda look, but with protection. I was hesitating wehther or not I should go with the more expensive $50 dual layer case, but ultimately I went with the slim one like the image so the bottom and top were white vs black. I might pick up a dual layer case if I like the way this actually looks in person.

The picture looks very promising and the link even allows you to download the art used in the case you are interested. Thank you.
