Best way to bypass fingerprint reader?

What is the fastest way to bypass the fingerprint reader if your fingerprint doesn't get read e.g. when it's wet? Thanks.

If the fingerprint unlock fails, it'll default to your backup screen lock method (i.e., password, PIN, or pattern).

I don't get an option to do anything else, that is the issue I guess. I should have been more clear. The face id will do the trick if my face is available but, there are times where it's kinda just not. A password or pin option would be nice at that juncture. Thanks for the suggestion.

If the sensor fails to recognise your fingerprint three or four times usually it prompts an error message to enter your PIN/password. At this point swiping up from the bottom of the screen should open the unlock screen. If this doesn't work you can use the power button to get to the lock screen and then swipe up.
