best way to get everything migrated

I am coming from a galaxy s4 to the lg g4 and in the past i have used my backup pro to get contacts, texts, pictures and the like. the s4 is updated fully, so i am pretty sure that both phones will be on the same OS, or at least similar. and both are on verizon

does anyone have another option on how to get everything copied over, or is my backup going to get it done, i really dont want to loose the sms, or call log? apps i dont care about cause i can reinstall those myself. but all the data that is on the phone other then apps i do want to keep

and i will be moving the micro sd card from the S4 to the G4 so a backup program that backs it up to the card is a viable option.

a computer program that you connect both phones to and it copy the data automatically would be great.

I know ATT has one. It's what I used to migrate from my Moto X to the G4. With NFC being common these days there are quite a few programs out there. Just tap the phones together, scan a bar code and you're good to go.
