Looking for the best way to do this :
I am on Tmobile Unlimited LTE and I don't have home Internet. I cut the cord and use Netflix and Hulu Plus to watch TV with addition to off air TV. I want to protect my phone wirelessly to my flat-screen HDTV without a wireless router. I was considering miracast but wanted to see what others thought. My TV is not naively capable of miracast. What options do I have?

I don't have direct experience with it, but it looks like it does support Miracast now, as well as the Amazon Fire Stick.

It looks like miracast runs through wifi similar to a chromecast. I have a chromecast and mi box mini and when I connect turn on miracast on my phone wifi also turns on. I have a slimport that connects to the phone and tv via HDMI and that works well with no wifi connection.

I'll second the slimport. I use a Microsoft 5000 Bluetooth mouse (and sometimes a folding Bluetooth keyboard) with it. I can sit on the couch and use my tv and phone as a computer. Much better resolution and less lag than trying to miracast.

I also use "OK Google" with it. Gotta speak a little loudly, but very convenient.

Only problem is that you cannot use it and other USB OTG items (like USB keyboard, mouse, hard drive).

No. I have two chromecasts and one mi box mini that uses miracast. Each needs wifi connection but the slimport does not.

I have a Push2TV and it works great. I got it from Amazon Amazon.com: NETGEAR Push2TV Wireless Display HDMI Adapter with Miracast (PTV3000) Certified for use with Kindle Fire HDX: Electronics

We use it all the time at my inlaws house to mirror what's on her phone. However, I haven't tried to stream NetFlix with it. I'll give it a shot tonight.

As for the Roku, I have never tried connecting my phone to it. I have a Roku and it's a great device, but I've never mirrored my phone using it. I bought Mom a Amazon Fire TV for Christmas. I think she likes it. I'll find out when she comes in town Thursday.
