Small business here...so sorry if this is out of bounds on the question front.
Looking for a fairly easy way to update multiple phones(50-75) contact list.
I've looked at just setting up a generic gmail account for my team with contacts there and just having them all log into the account and periodically sync the contacts but wondered if there was a better method?

TIA for any suggestions.

You can also do it if you have an Exchange server for work. That would give your employees a unique e-mail account with data you can control (if they lose the phone or they get fired, you can remotely wipe the device, delete the e-mail data, restrict access to contact lists, etc.) and access to a server-managed contact list. I believe a similar feature applies to Google Apps (Google's Enterprise suite), but I could be wrong.

You can also manage your contact list locally and whenever you need to update it, export it to a file and send that file to all phones via e-mail or BT file transfer or something (rather manual process). There's an app called ContactBox that offers a similar feature, but handles the updating automatically from the e-mail or SMS.
