Best weather app

Thanks!

For radar try Radar Now.

Finally ... Thanks!

This is the first weather site that will actually animate with time stamps the local radar and its movement. Thanks for the suggestion.

I am older and not very tech smart. I am all new to this APPS thing - so much info to sort through and learn over the last 24 hours since purchasing my first smart phone - very exciting though! Thanks for your help to us older first timers ... it is really appreciated.

Do you know why my other favorite weather websites will not animate on the DROID? Is there anything I can change in my phone settings to animate them? I have a couple of other website favorites ...with long term (4 hour) radar movement and better zoomed in specific local radar, too. For our outdoor recreation business, I really could use them - if there was something that I could do to make them work.

Thanks for any suggestions ...

If not - the RADAR NOW app will do. Thanks again.

i use weather channel but you should make it a poll so it easy to see the most popular at a glance.

id love that, thanks

i like weather channel

Ditto. I'm spoiled by TWC's weather maps that include the radar & clouds. I like to see what kind of cloud cover is generating rainfall, and this is a big factor for when I want to drop the top on the Jeep! :D

i have them both, i'm liking weather widget donate better than beautiful widgets

weather widgets can be skinned (its in the options for the app) and has more customizeablilty (you can set units, night icon time start, day icon time start) has a cool 3 day forecast when you click on the icon, and a neat animation.

the extra widgets that come with beautiful widgets are nice, and so is the widget itself, but personally, i'm going with weather widgets donate for now. :)

Good advice. Just got it. Its awesome.:D

I was using the Weather Channel App until today. We had some winds, and receiving audible alerts on my phone was a deal breaker since there seems to be no way to turn them off. Very stupid for them not to let us turn that off. Using weather bug for now, but I think I may get Beautiful Widgets.

I just upgraded WeatherBug to the Elite version for $1.99. The animated radar is very important to me (I plan to use it next summer while sailing on the Chesapeake Bay.) Overall, best $2 I've spent in a long time.

I've been pushing Beautiful Weather for a while now and nobody liked to agree with me! :(

how dare they! i've always had both, but have liked BW more than WWD.

on a side note someone commented in the post on the main page about a recent update to BW draining the battery quickly, i have noticed that my battery has gone into the yellow twice today, seems a likely culprit.... :(

They pushed another update out early this evening. I have not noticed any battery drain on my device.

maybe my phone was just acting up.

hopefully it was the earlier update that drained it quickly and i have enough to get through the day (and night) tomorrow :D

At first I used Weather Channel and used the small widget. But then it had problems updating the temp/conditions on the widget and acted weird. So I got rid of it and downloaded WeatherBug! Wow is that much more reliable! No problems so far and I've been running it for about a week. It has widgets too but they are uneccesary because it automatically puts the temp in the top info panel to the far left. This is nicer because it's not a running service so it takes up less ROM and congestion. Yet it still updates as often as you'd like. The menu for forecasts are just as nice as Weather Channel.

I would recommend WeatherBug.

Yeah, but the #1 fan slot goes to Larry. He was preaching it while everone was on WWD.

And now I'm using WWD because I can skin the clock, but still have BW does that push me to #2 or even lower
