Best weather app?

Transparent has some nice-looking widgets for the home page, but it doesn't seem to refresh until manually opening it. So, it shows the morning temperature when it is nighttime. I could not find on settings how to set a more frequent refresh update setting???

That is strange.. it should update with the defined time. When you go into the settings (touch on the minutes of the time to get you there quickly) and go to Weather & location settings, there is a setting for Refresh period - and what you select there will update your widget at that period. At least it should. Also, if you want to manually update the weather, instead of opening it up, you can just tap on the temperature and it'll update it immediately.

I have mine set to every 2 hrs.

I use 1 weather. I know it's not as popular as it used to be but it gives me all the info I need at a glance, a refresh button for those times when your weather service hasn't auto updated and you don't want to fully launch the app, and it looks great with any theme.

Which weather app best auto-updates refreshes in the AOD screen (and widget on home screen), as seems the AOD screen stays mostly static (static in sense of reflecting weather hours and hours prior) ???
Btw, I like the accu weather notification icon on the AOD screen and it gives a weather icon (sun, clouds, rain) and I have set that up with another app which gives the temperature in a circle. Also, I think the Weather channel (or is it NWS) pushes a real-time alert to the AOD screen.

Any decent weather app will have options for you to choose how frequently it refreshes.

What app? It should have settings and a way to enter locations for your areas. Or, many will want to turn on GPS and do it automatically, but that's not necessary. I use the weather channel app and Radar now.

BBC weather and Met Office if you live in UK

for anyone else.

Definitely WTForecast. It's rude, crude, and definitely funny. I like that in an app. LOL

Anybody having trouble with Weather Underground after this latest update? Mine keeps force closing when I open the map. I've uninstalled and reinstalled app with no change.

Here in Colorado, the weather changes very quickly and on a dime. For years, I've used a combo of NOAA and WeatherBug. These have served me VERY well.

I was having the same problem. I then deleted it's cache and then deleted it's data, then removed and reinstalled. Seems to be working now.

Carrot Weather and Hello Weather started as iOS apps that have made their way to Android. I'm using Hello Weather now. Carrot is pretty snarky if you like weather with a personality. Both app developers need to learn how to put the temperature in the notification bar. Which of course is something they don't need to do on an iPhone.

Yaaaay! I had been waiting for carrot weather to hit Android. Asked the developer almost 2 years ago but hadn't poked for it in a long time. The "snarkiness" is so great! Loved it on my iPad!
Thanks for letting us know!
