Best Wireless Charger

Ok so the choetech doesn't fast charge in portrait but it does in landscape. I do have a bulkier case on the phone, but it fast charges in portrait on last year's Samsung charging stand.

I am interested in getting one of the wireless chargers for the s8 plus. Is anyone able to tell me the difference between the new wireless charger that costs $90 on the Samsung website compared to the older one that is $60. They are both fast charging apparently. Is the only difference the looks and convertibility of the new one? Or, is the new one better for the s8?

I don't have the S8 yet because I'm getting it tomorrow, but the S7 edge fast charge in the Choetech in Landscape or Portrait position. Have you tried without the Cover, just to know?

Yeah. The new one is a convertible. You can switch between flat and angled. Other than that I hear it's the same. Just more convenient to be able to switch.

Just checked my phone on the Samsung stand and my Choetech even when the Choetech doesn't say fast charging it still has the same time till full as the Samsung when fast charging.

Samsung guy told me because it's USB-C instead of micro USB it charges a "little" faster. IDK if true or not just passing along. Even if true you'd probably have to use a timer or stopwatch to tell the difference.

Ftr I went with the older style and it works just fine for me.

Just the convertability. You can find last year's on Amazon 2 for $55. Very happy w the purchase.

I just use the OEM wireless chargers at home and the office. I found the Gorilla Gadgets portable wireless charger on Amazon. It recharges with either a micro USB or USB-C cable as it has ports on either of the long sides of the candy bar charger. You can charge your GS8 either wirelessly or if you have a USB-C or micro USB cable in a port at top of the charger where the charge indicator lights are located. It will charge up to two and a half full charges. It isn't a fast wireless charger and is twice as thick as the GS8 so it's not exactly pocket friendly so I keep it in my backpack or, I know that I am going to catch some grief for this, my wife's purse.

how do the aftermarket ones work with a case? I have the otterbox clear case on my S8 and also have the unicorn beetle. Will i have an issue with these with the Seneo?

I got this one on sale for $16 gets good reviews and customer service is really good. Put a note 5 on it with the Samsung adaptive fast charger plug and it shows it's fast charging.//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170418/78691d2c1329b8b809fe4e9ae5d81a48.jpg

I have this one and purchased a second. It seems to work great and the price is very good. I used my old Note 4 charger and I do not see any real difference from the S8 charger and the dock. Now the advantage is that it is always ready on the dock.
