[Beta] ZVJ rooting automation - please help test

Oh yeah, minor suggestion if I may. When you say it will show errors after installing the 2nd update.zip maybe let people know what it will say "installation aborted" and to proceed to step C anyway. If you've already covered this, Sorry!
Next version will have this menu, hopefully it is more clear (before it read "errors are EXPECTED", now it reads "SHOULD say INSTALLATION ABORTED")

I would first make a nandroid backup so you can get back to a clean ZVJ install.

I believe ZVH ROMs will work with ZVJ radio, at least that is what some folks have reported, but if it doesn't then at least you have a nandroid backup to go back to.

Also in Titanium, do not restore system apps, only restore user apps. If you restore system apps, try restoring system data but not apps.
So, I did backup once on ZVJ, then flashed backup of Hydro. My sw version says ZVH, am I still on ZVJ?

The text file that builds and populates that section is static, it is not actually reading what radio/baseband you are on. Rest assured that no rom can flash a radio ONLY a sprint supplied update.zip can do that. Your phone says hydroRom ls670zvh because that was the source it was built from

FINALLY!!!
Got it all figured out and working.
My assumption (and mistake) was that this was a fully automated procedure with no participation from user. MY BAD!!!
Thanks all for the help!

i wanted to give you guys an update, especially those of you with link2sd. I got the zvj working, thanks to sfhub. Once I finished, I had to reboot a couple of times. You then have to asssign a partition type to your link2sd. Mine was ext2, but it will only remember what your settings were previously, so the other options did not work. Then I could log into link2sd. All I needed to do was to link the dalvak cashe to the phone in the settings and everything was fine. The only other thing that I had to do was redo the widgets.

I was running zvh, so there is no noticeable difference, just bug fixes (which i did manually anyway)

Glad you got it working.

The ZVJ process can't be fully automated because the known exploits don't work on it or we haven't found one that does yet. If a direct exploit is found, I can fully automate it. The ZVD and ZVH rooting (Option A) are fully automated.

Thanks for updating everyone about link2sd. I'm sure it will help folks out.
