Better Audio with Video Reorder

I've had the EVO for just over 6 months now and I still haven't seen this addressed so I thought I'd ask again.

Has anyone heard of ANYTHING on fixing the EVO's video recorder to record better audio?

If you don't already know, the EVO's recorded videos have audio at 8khz; the equivalent to a phone call quality. SD and HD video usually have audio at 32khz-48khz.

This is why the audio sounds so horrible on the videos, especially if there is a lot of sound activity.

+1 for an enhancement! I took video at a small concert event and the sound was horribly distorted.

Yep, I think I've heard plenty of people clamoring about this, but have yet to see a solution. Would love to see if it made it into an update before it's said and done...

Related note: I haven't done more than casual browsing, but is there an advanced camcorder app. out there, kind of like a Vignette is for the camera? I know it won't enhance audio (I think that problem is deeper than an application), but wouldn't mind seeing what the camcorder could do with some quality software....

There is Videocam Illusion in the Market. It has much higher sampled audio, but the video isn't as good. I just can't win!
