Just got the Droid Pro and looking to maximize battery. I take off the charger in the morning and it shows 90% what can I do ? Is therre any battery tricks?
If your battery is showing 90% and it's been on the charger all night I'd start by pulling the battery, letting the phone set for a couple of minutes, replace the battery, recharge to a full charge with the phone off...see if that works. If that doesn't work, do a factory reset...pain in the butt, but could solve your problem.
As you have probably learned, the Pro doesn't get great battery life. Here are some tips to increase your battery life between charges:
-Get the extended life battery from Verizon...well worth the $49.00.
-Make sure your network is set to CDMA, not global or GSM (my Pro came from the factory with the Global setting, you should check yours)
-Turn GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth off until you need to use one of them. Use it then turn it off
-WiFi uses less battery than your phone radio...use it when you can to web browse
-Turn the screen brightness down to as low as you can tolerate...screen brightness really eats up battery power
-If you have widgets that update data/information at prescribed intervals, set the intervals to manual or to an interval that is as long as you can accept. The less your phone radio is having to operate the less battery you use.
-Have your POP3 email forwarded to gmail. Gmail will push those emails to your phone...saves battery life.
-Live wallpaper, although nice, eat battery life...use a different wallpaper if you can
