BetterCut no longer seems to be working...

...was it the update? I haven't used it since I bought the EVO and created my shortcuts. Now all the ones I originally created are still there and working, but I do NOT seem to be able to create any new ones. I just want to create some better icons for the programs I already have.

Any ideas on this? Has anyone used this since the update? Thanks.

It's asking about OPEN HOME. I tried testing "edit shortcut", and it tells me that I have to reinstall BetterCut after installing OpenHome. But how do I do that? Open Home appears to be $4 launcher on the market. I don't want that launcher. Is this connected to the loss of the original "stock launcher" with the update? Is this another of those "hidden losses"?

Now, I noticed that mine stopped working after the new update as well...However, after trying to make about 4 or 5 shortcuts, it started working again. I am still not getting a pop-up message saying that the shortcuts have been created, but it is creating them.

Same here. Let's make sure to let the dev know there's a problem with the EVO so he'll fix it.

According to his Market reviews, multiple people have posted that it stopped working after the HTC EVO update. The problem is that I think the update broke something when it lost the original launcher (notice its missing, too?).

And ArkAngel06 I tried just making the shortcut over and over. The shortcut eventually did show up, but NOT with a new ICON picture (which is what I want). I guess it's just time to wait for an update. sigh.

I can't seem to get the People, Photo Gallery, Videos, Camera and Camcorder shortcuts to work

Well, it does seem to be working again. I guess perseverance does pay off. No update came through, it just started working. And it does work with a NEW picture, too. Not sure what the issue was, but its all good now. I guess just keep trying it until it works.

And Kyrumo, I've heard of that issue before. For some reason I don't think they are "editable". Not sure why. Weird.

This is the answer I received from the Dev when I asked about this problem. Too busy to help I suppose.




'Activities' are not the same as 'apps', if you want to create one that always work, you can use the 'other shortcut' options.
