Android Central Question

Hi,
Since a couple of months I've been having issues with my p30pro.
For some
reason every now and then, the pictures I've taken get misformed.
Out of the blue, it can be after a couple of days or after a couple of hours, pictures are suddenly unwatchable and have bars in the picture, or colors become inverted etc.
It seems to be done randomly to the pictures, and there is no action taken that causes this on my part.

First I thought it was because of WhatsApp. That a picture that I sent was then unusable afterwards. But I've noticed now it also happens to photos not being sent via WhatsApp.

Than I thought it was because of the gallery app so I installed another one and used only that one. Didn't change a thing.

I have a standard p30pro, have not rooted it etc. Installed every update made available trough the system..

This is becoming very frustrating and annoying that this happens on such a high end smartphone without any reason.
Photos I have taken are now sometimes unusable which cause me to miss moments captured with my camera.

The camera btw is the only resao' I've purchased the p30pro.

Does anyone know this problem? Does anyone knows how this can be solved.

If needed I can provide some examples of misformed photos.

Many thanks.

Thanks for the reply.

I used indeed an SD card to store pictures taken with my p30pro.
I've just changed the storage option again to internal storage. Hope this will help.

It shouldn't happen though in my opinion. It make the SD card a bit useless.

Thanks.

Here are some examples.

It ideally shouldn't happen, but that would be in an ideal world. The unfortunate reality is that SD cards are much less reliable than onboard storage (even if they're from a well-known brand like Sandisk). In addition, counterfeit cards are still a rampant problem, especially if you buy cards from online sellers (as opposed to bricks & mortar retail stores). I always recommend against using an SD card as the sole storage for any important data. It's convenient, yes, but it's a good idea to backup or sync that data somewhere on a regular basis.

I've got this happen to Samsung phones as well when I had the Samsung phone I use to have issues with it not being recognized or won't mount and there were times my photos were corrupted that's why I prefer the on storage I don't care about the micros sd slot or nano slot. They're too unreliable. I rather have bigger storage on my phone and not worry about it. Nowadays 128gb is plenty, anything less than that I wouldn't even bother especially with the photos and videos being so big.
