Biggest diff from the original Droid Incredible?

I have had the original Droid Incredible since the release date and have to say I love this phone. I have been thinking about an upgrade and definitly will not be going to a 4G phone for a while, dont need or care about the speed.

I am wondering what are soem of the major differences between the 1 generation Dinc and the new Droid Incredible 2?
-I know the opitcal trackball is gone (which i love)
- I know there is a front facing camera
But what else is different? I have heard that the battery life is great for an Android phone. I currently have a 1750mah battery in my Incredible and it never lasts through the day for me.

Any and all thoughts are welcome, hope to hear some interesting thougths.

Screen size is the biggest difference. Just got mine and love it. The battery is sufficient for light to moderate use for a day. I just received the 2500mah battery and will see what that bad boy does.

Did you have the original Droid Incredible? What made you pic this phone over the T-Bolt or some other massive new phone?

Here's my take....I recently switched from the BB Storm 2 to the Thunderbolt. Kept the T-Bolt right up to the end of Verizon's 14-day return window and then returned it and back to the BB. Reason why? Battery drain was way too severe! A full charge barely lasted until around 1:30 pm that day. Heard rumors of the DInc2 release so I waited, and I am so glad I did!!! Love the phone! The 4" screen is so much easier to handle "one-handed" versus the 4.3" T-Bolt screen! .3" inches isn't much but a world of difference is noticeable, trust me! Battery performance is better too, not great but I can get through a normal business day. Like you, I'm not hung up on speed (although the T-Bolt was blazing fast!!!), but the DInc2 satisfies all my needs. If you want 4G speed, be prepared to sacrifice battery life, regardless of the brand of phone. Casing composition is terrific and you really don't need a skin case. Other points of interest: NFL Mobile app works on DInc2, didn't work on the T-Bolt, HD display on the DInc2 is awesome, and the DInc2 fits easier in my pocket than the T-Bolt. I think this will become Verizon's flagship phone regardless of it not having the 4G speed! I drove from Houston to Memphis and had 3G speed throughout all of Arkansas and the entire time I was in Memphis. If you ask me, until the 4G LTE network is deployed more (And doesn't crash as much?), the Droid Incredible 2 is the way to go!!! Hope my info helps you.

I would say the biggest differences are:

1. Screen size. I didn't say better screen because both Incredibles (my Inc1 is a lauch day amoled) are almost the same as far as blacks & colors, with a SLIGHT nod to the Inc1. But the Inc2 is quite a bit sharper. I had the Tbolt also, but that seemed more washed out looking, especially looking at it from the side.

2. Battery life. I'd say it does anywhere from 5-10 hours better than my Inc1 with the same use.

3. Global capability. If you ever travel outside the USA.

4. Better build materials. Aluminum frame & front bezel (as opposed to Inc1's plastic bezel, not sure about it's frame though).

5. Newer version of Sense. The version of Sense on the Inc2 is somewhere between 2.0 & 2.1. Basically it's Sense 2.0 with 2.1's app drawer filters.

The only drawbacks I can see on the Inc2 is the bloatware (about twice as much as on the Inc1) & the Inc2 hasn't been permanently rooted (if you're into that). But with HTC reversing their locked down policy, we may be seeing that solved, which would also solve the Bloatware issue.

I never owned the orginal Inc, but my buddy still has it. His doesn't make it through a day, and he's got an ENORMOUS battery on it. I'm 95% sure it's a 3500, and my Inc2 lasts me more than a day of heavy use.

I owned the original incredible and now own the incredible 2. Differences:

-the screen is a major difference. It's super lcd and looks like it sits on the touch glass itself (original looked like it had a pretty thick layer of glass over the screen)...the colors and crispness blow away my original incredible's AMOLED screen. And 4" is the perfect size

-the incredible 2 has a NEW sensor on the back camera...many look at the specs and see 8mp and think, "oh, same camera as original." NOT TRUE. Same MP, yes, but the incredible 2 destroys the original incredible's camera quality. It's not even close. The incredible 2 puts out images that look like the come from an expensive point and shoot camera.

-the speed, smoothness. Side by side with my original, the incredible 2 loaded up apps quicker and was just overall smoother. The adreno 205 GPU in the incredible 2 makes a HUGE difference in gaming over the original. Everything is buttery smooth

-BATTERY! This is a HUGE deal. The stock battery can easily last me two days, whereas my original would die by 12-1PM (off charger for 5 hours). The battery is the best I've seen on any android phone so far

The thing that everybody has missed so far is that it's also the 2nd gen snapdragon, so it runs faster at the same clock speed. I haven't used the Dinc2, but I have the Thunderbolt and it's pretty snappy with the same SoC.
