Bionic boot video and speedtest

FINALLY - We should be seeing more and more of these videos...Heck, when I was waiting for the Storm 2, there were testers and people that got their hands on one and would post the actual phone in use...Keep them coming!

Niiiiiiice. Can't wait! Speed test seems a little slow, but someone did mention it was 1 bar of coverage correct? Still I assume it's a thousand times faster than my 3G under spotty reception.

couple more weeks baby..

I love how BLUR looks! I've seen some older versions of it that I didn't like, but this one just looks awesome. It looked really quick (a few hold ups because he had just booted the device) and even the speed test looked amazingly fast under 1 bar of connectivity. 1 bar is not a lot people, so getting just under 1 mbps is about as fast as 3G can pick up under full connectivity.
The boot screen looks awesome, I love that logo they have for the Bionic. It's one of the coolest looking Droid logos I've seen, if not the coolest. I am SO done waiting for this, I need it NOW! lol Stop teasing me Verizon and Motorola!
And I thought I'd see this is the forum as soon as I saw it on Phandroid. Just came to check, and post if it wasn't for some odd reason. I know everyone is just refreshing every Android blog waiting for this to come out lol.

I think it needs to be said that the eye, while awesome, was so detailed that it was even a bit creepy.

I love the shortcut pull down menu and I loved the fact that the applications list was not one of those infinite scroll ones. I don't know why but I just don't like thise kinds of applications list.

The side scroll menu seems a little funky since most do the vertical infinite scroll. This kind of makes it feel more like iOS, which is not something I'm going for, but still will work anyways. At least my homescreen isn't my app list (calling you out Jobs). In the end though, since I haven't gotten used to using Android since I don't have a device yet, I'll just deal with it. I haven't had a real gripe with Android yet, or any huge ones with any manufacturer's custom skins.
As long as they fixed the camera app from the Droid 3, I'll be happy. I need settings!

Its the same UI as D3 and I like it (use my wifes D3 everyday to get my fix LOL). Looks smooth on that vid.

I believe he means the weighted scrollbar were you flick your screen and it will keep moving

Ok in the app tray then or the home screens? Or both? I know crappy touchscreen basic phones have that kind of feature, but they can barely even handle it.

like the app tray or even your contact list. I love how I can just quickly flip my thumb up and scroll all the way to the t's u's etc...

Yeah instead of it being the same scroll speed all the time. It's really cool, I'll be glad they included that.
