Yes because one is 3g and the other is 4g so they could market them to two different people. Not to mention the droid 3 has a keyboard.
There are obvious differences between the phones. Each one will have its own set of pros and cons. I was just thinking that the big difference between them would be 3G and 4G but they are still beasts of devices. Just seemed like that was releasing two powerhouses that close to each other, regardless of data speed, was a little too close. Who knows though, you most definitely could be correct here. Plus Moto hasn't had anything decent out for a while now on Verizon, besides the Droid X2, which is decent but has its own set of issues. This could be why they may be releasing them with a short break between the two launches.
