bionic mhl to insignia tv

Am not a techie but i try...
Would like to hook up my droid to the new tv. 55" Isignia
Bought and plugged in the HDMI cord but tv didnt recognize
it.
Maybe there its more to this than i know
Any help appreciated

From my experience with a Sony television, you sometimes need to turn the tv off and on again for it to recognize the input.

Well, if you are still looking for a fix, are you on the stock rom for your phone, or are you running a custom one? If you aren't on stock, or a blur based rom, chances are that HDMI out is broken.
