Bionic processor increased on ICS?

I've seen people reporting that with the ics leak, the Bionic can fully utilize both processor cores now. One thing i notice that i haven't seen mentioned is it looks like the core speed itself is increased. It was sold as having a 1.0 GHz processor, and my Android Assistant app reported the same. Now on the 232 leak, Android Assistant reports it as a 1.2 GHz, same as the Razr. I do know the phones share the same processor, so did they actually up the clock speeds in ICS?

No. This is an old conversation, as its been occurring since the first leak. Some Bionics have better binned CPU's that can handle 1.2, and have been subsequently bumped up. Whether this is intentional or not is up for debate.

Doesn't matter to me I guess. I'm just glad mine now actually matches the performance of the Razr CPU. I was bummed having to give up the speed to get the better screen (IMHO anyway :p ), even if it wasn't all that big of a difference. I wasn't disapointed in the performance on GB, but seeing this certainly put a smile to my face.

I'm just excited for the ability to finally use both cores. I'm hoping this will help many of my games and apps work better. Give me some Ice Cream!!!

I got clocked to 1.2.. it's super fast but it eats battery faster as well

Ya this is also said on a different forum. They say that the difference really isn't that big of a deal but if you are definite person who pays close attention to the small stuff, you'll notice it.
