bionic screen question

so i am playing with the DB in the verizon store when i glance at the x2 and notice that the screen looks a little smother around the battery notification area( the only area i could notice an issue unless i was watching a video) I am curious if some of the "jaggedness" of the screen could be fixed with a different resolution. the screen on the x2 didn't look bad at all and if they are the same screen in both phones then why can't a settin change make the bionic screen look just as good as the x2. or is the bionic just stuck that way.

now this isn't a knock on the screen as it was absolutely beautiful but i did see some room for improvement.
