Bixby Routines

I wish I could have a routine for max media volume when connected to car Bluetooth but of course the infamous Samsung volume warning cannot be defeated... or at least I don't know how.

Annoying problem for me too but there's a way to do it in the bixby routines. Just add media volume and set it to 100%. It should work, I haven't been in my car yet to try it.

I want to set routines too I'll mess around with Bixby once I get my phone. I can't wait to get phone

I'm trying Bixby instead of Tasker.
Routines aren't as powerful as Tasker but so much simpler to set up.
I use a routine for late evening time to silence the phone and a routine for work to do the same when I'm connected to work wifi and finally one for the car on bluetooth to turn dnd on set the media volume and narrate messages.

I too look for a boolean trigger but can't seem to find it.
If Wifi ON - Sound MUTE
Else (Wifi OFF) - Sound Normal
Seems like there is only WIFI ON not OFF option.

YES! This is what I am looking for within Bixby. When I am NOT (else) at a location do certain things; wifi off, volume to mute, etc.

Let me know if anyone finds a way!

I don't know for sure but if you have the Samsung backup on it does say it backs up Bixby Home. I would guess that is all of Bixby but not 100% sure.

Maybe I should mess around and set up Bixby now if it will save to the new phone. Will give me something to do. I was telling my husband about it he gets his phone tomorrow. He said oh kind of like the NFC tags we used to use way back. I forgot about those little round circle sticky things we had to set up routines and turn on NFC and swipe over it. We used those and people used Tasker. I'm just wanting my phone so bad especially after this person posted a pic of her pretty Flamingo Pink yesterday.

I need my phone to turn off volume when I get to work turn it on after and back off when I go to bed and back on in the AM. So many times I forget to turn it back on in the AM. And sometimes driving to work I have to turn off wifi for better signal in a certain area and turn it back on at work. I want to redo my bixby button too but trying to decide what I use the most of to make it do. For Google I just saw Hey Google

I’ve set one up for when at work where it turns off the WiFi...need to see what else i may use though.

There's a Wifi OFF option.

Tested it out. It works.
Routine #1 : If Wifi ON - Sound Mute
Routine #2 : If Wifi OFF - Sound Normal

Tried to make a routine to change to power saving mode when at 20%. Looks like there isnt a easy way (Power saving mode button).

Im able to adjust the brightness and screen resolution but not the rest. No option to turn off AoD, restrict background date, and limit CPU speed.

One of my issues with using routines that utilize GPS as the "trigger" is that any battery savings realized by turning things off by location will be reduced or reversed completely by the fact that your phone is going to be checking location constantly for the routine. I then decided that I would instead use "work hours" as the trigger to set my phone into power save mode, but you can't control the power settings via routines apparently...

That's my big concern for any of the apps that check and poll for location. You try to save power by turning off options but the app controlling this might be draining your battery worse!

I've set one to go. To HD and 30% brightness when battery is low not sure if it will work though

Yes, me too!!! I have WiFi on when at home, and currently using geotag in trigger to turn WiFi off when leave home. Would just as soon use Bixby routine. Geotag in trigger works most of the time and was using it for WiFi on. Bixby routine seems to be a little less cumbersome.

Another routine I set up that I like is screen always on when charging. I sure do miss the LED light when charger connected, but now with always on when charging, I have something I feel is even better ;)

While I wouldn't say it's better, I definitely love having this option I set it up as soon as i noticed there wasn't really a way to tell if the phone was charging and i dont like AoD on all day so yeah it's a pretty cool set up

I tried setting up a routine for when I come home from work to have my wife not talk to me but its not working.
