I try to open Bixby vision. A little message pops up saying it can't open. I try again, and it's just a blank screen. I mean, the frame from the camera is there, but the camera doesn't turn on. I have the icons at the bottom, for food, and such, but can't press them. I'm on s9+. Chrcked app info. Says it's all up to date.

I moved this from the Android Apps forum to the S9+ forum, since the former is intended for developers to promote their apps.

No need to apologize -- just want to make sure your question gets the most appropriate visibility!:)

I have force stopped, and even tried denying and allowing permissions. I'm not sure about clearing data and cache. how is it done?

Try This :
Wipe cache partition
Turn off the device.
Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
When the Android logo displays, release all three keys.
An 'Installing system update' message will show for 30 - 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
Press Power key to select.
Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
Press the Power key to restart the device.

Open Settings>>Apps and tap Bixby Vision.
Then, under Storage you'll see a Clear Data button.

If that doesn't work go to Settings>>Apps
>>Bixby Vision, tap the three dots on the top right corner of the screen and tap Uninstall Updates.

I did what you suggested. The only thing that changed was, instead of bring stuck on the images icon, it's now stuck on shopping. the only thing I can think of is do a factory reset. I really dont wanna do that.

Could it possibly be the camera itself? I've used the camera in other apps and it worked fine.

Have you tried opening Bixby Vision from within the camera?
Open the camera and then tap the Bixby Vision icon on the bottom left (above the camera settings icon).

If that doesn't work, maybe you could try resetting Bixby to its factory defaults.
Open Settings>>Apps and try to uninstall every Bixby component you find. If you don't have an Uninstall option, try to uninstall updates like I mentioned in my previous post.

And one more thing, search the Galaxy Apps store for 'Bixby Vision Framework' and see if you have that installed.

I dont mess with launchers.. I don't really know about all that. I did have a different theme. But have since changed back to default.

It says I have framework installed, but if it's just an app like all the rest, it is not in my app list.

There was a Bixby Vision update today...maybe it'll fix your problem.

I honestly do not know. I open it to update. it says "checking for updates" for two seconds before it crashes. Message pops up saying "couldn't check for updates." And even though it says its installed, I can't find framework on my phone.
