Bixby Vision shopping delayed for Verizon users

So then, Verizon must be getting ready to take the wraps off their new shopping app (VZ Shop) that uses the camera to find items to purchase - all for the low, low price of only $4.99/month.

I'm so sick of Verizon practices.

If it wasn't for AT&T having no service at work, I would never have left

Verizon needs to start being more careful in what they are doing. They are starting to lose more customers faster than they can replace them. They have had a net decline of 289,000 customers over the past 4 months. T-Mobile is starting to look better & better.

T mobile doesn't even exist where I live lol.

Only realistic options are AT&T and Verizon :(

Yeah they are. The problem is they just do not have the coverage Verizon does. However, this crap is getting ridiculous. For my next phone I am definitely going to consider very hard about going to a different carrier. They took stuff off the note 7 and the LG v20 and now this. We don't want to have to pay for their bad version of apps. They are also the slowest to put out updates as well.

Wow, that kinda sucks! T-mobile isn't a good option for everyone that can get it, but it does work really well where I am at though.

I get really good coverage here with all 4 carriers, but I am eyeing T-Mobile after being with Verizon for a very long time.

Are we forced to use VS Shop or can we just use Bixby Vision as Samsung intended?

Exactly. This really sounds like Verizon wants in on the deal to get associate link money.

I honestly cannot answer that question. Right now you cannot use it as intended, in the future I am not so sure.

Oh Verizon you never seize to amaze me. Hopefully, Verizon fixes this and not screw up OEM features. They want it on everything.

Only one's Verizon bows down to? Apple. My iPhone isn't encumbered by any Verizon nonsense. Too bad Samsung doesn't have the Apple clout to do the same thing.

That would be nice wouldn't itツ

The only reason I buy Verizon phones is because they are unlocked. I've never used Verizon service but my last 6 phones have all been Verizon.

Well that's yet another reason why I left Verizon. I'm lucky though as all the major carriers work well where I live.

Now I'm curious what this software update is all about.

If they **** me off enough I might just go back to AT&T.

I wonder if they could be sued for this?

The only way Samsung will get Verizon to stop taking stuff off the phones is if they just tell Verizon no, it stays or your company won't have the phone to offer. Samsung really does have the power to do that. Imagine Verizon not having the highly anticipated note 8 this fall, even with the S8 series, imagine if Verizon didn't have them now... People would leave to another carrier, the ones that have choices, which are most.

Samsung has the power now, they need to use it.
