For some reason, I am having some of my apps show up in inverted colors: White text on a black background instead of the reverse. I would assume that this is because I had inadvertently changed the phone settings to Night mode or something; but since it only shows up selectively in some apps I guess that's not the problem. Facebook looks normal, as do some of my other apps. But Mail, Google Chrome, and NYT are white-on-black (see image). Any idea what I am doing wrong? I have a Samsung S23+, running Android 14 and One UI 6.1.
(possibly related, but likely not: I use the same image for my lock screen and desktop wallpaper. A few months ago the lock screen went grayscale, while the desktop wallpaper remained full-color. The problem with black-white reversal in some apps is much more recent!)
