Always a possibility. I would keep an eye out for the Black Friday sales flyers (usually posted online) of the big chains like Best Buy, Radioshack, etc.

your already getting a better price than most of us. or me at least, i got it on the first day. but i dont care because i think it was a good investment.

but amazon is already selling it for dirt cheap. maybe best buy might do a price match if your signing up for a contract too.

I payed full price minus 100 for giving them an iphone (edge network) and a blackberry tour, lol.

I had to have it!

And then, if that other line of dual core galazy's come out: I will sell this back and use my upgrade (which I'll have by then! HA) and get it.

How do the upgrades work exactly? I haven't done it yet? After a year you get an upgrade. You sign a new contract? Is that also a 2 year contract; and, does it add onto what you have left on your original contract? IE after a year you upgrad sign another 2 year and you now have 3 years left?

You have to be on a everything data plan for it to work. Once a year you can upgrade your phone by signing a new 2 year contract minus the rebate. It only changes your current contract to 2 years. It's a great idea because for the majority leaving involves breaking your contract if you sign a new one every year.

I talked to a Sprint Rep helping me swap devices with my wife. I told her I was going to buy a new Epic next week, and she told me I should wait until around Christmas it is supposed to go on sale. She thought $199. FWIW.........

You can already get it at radioshack for 219 without having to deal with mail in rebates.

I got it for $149 at Amazon, but I was starting a new line. Not sure if it would be the same for you. I did see a post about it being a deal for $99 on another site, but I couldn't find that price anywhere on Amazon.

are there going to be any for Black Friday, or deals just in general for someone joining a plan (new customer)? All answers are appreciated.

I've checked all the major retail stores black friday ads and there appears to be nothing for EVO and Epic. Everyone is discounting the entry level phones. Pretty disappointing since I'm looking to get either the EVO or Epic.

I found it much cheaper today on WalMart.com, but it goes through letstalk.com. After rebate price is 129.99 after $100 WalMart gift card.

if you are a member of Sam's Club they are having a black friday deal on the samsung epic for $99 between 5-6 am. depending on the store, some have said that is just for a new line activation but i had a call from one of the other stores in my area and they said it would be $99 for an upgrade as well.

sounds like you have to send off paperwork in order to get the gift card. I would rather get the phone from sams club for 145 and not have to mess around with the rebate.
