Black or Silver?

That black one sure does show a lot of fingerprints and grease. Also wondering how well the black will hold up to little scratches on the back.. They'll probably fade into the metal on the silver one but on the black I'm wondering if it's only paint deep.

Is it only painted on? That would scratch in no time. I was assuming it was anodized which is much much harder and scratch resistant. Regardless, I think the black looks awesome.

Ok looks like anodizing then. That's good. A lot of the fixtures I design for work I have sent out so they can get black type 2 anodizing. They look the same and have that same ability to "wipe" away scratches.

I ordered Black. Have changed my mind 6 times since then. The Black looks cool, but it appears to show fingerprints etc a lot more.

Fair enough, the guy had keys in the same pocket but one drop could ruin the look of your phone if it's not protected... I'm really considering swapping my pre-order to silver.

Black, because it looks so stealthy. I think more people will buy the silver version of this phone, so if I was going to buy this phone, I would choose black. In fact, I didn't even know that a black version existed until today!

That's what I was worried about with the black, that one little scratch and you'd see the aluminum color underneath... with that said.. what kind of douchenozzle keeps his phone in the same pocket as his keys and coins and has the audacity to complain when it gets scratched up?? GTFO with that.

Am I the only one who thinks the silver/white doesn't look that great? I usually pick white phones over the blacks ones, but this one just looks tackier to me than the black for some reason. The front of the phone is mostly black with two white strips at the top and bottom, while the back is mostly silver aside from the white ceramic bands for the antenna. And the Beats logo along with the camera that sticks out like a sore thumb sort of ruins the aesthetics of the silver model imo. The black model on the other hand is gorgeous, although it won't stick out in the crowd as much as the silver model. I dunno, maybe I just like the black one more because it's one single unified color and the camera and branding doesn't stick out as much on the black anodized finish. The silver just has too much going on in comparison.
