Ok so I converted from Blackberry to Droid just a few weeks ago.

It was hell. The Droid was in infinite danger of being thrown from the car window at high speed for about 4 days.

Then we came to a mutual agreement that it could be love or possible lust at about 6 days.

Then at about 10 days, we decided it *was* love and couldn't live without each other.

So now at 20-whatever plus days, I have this thing set up with everything I need... Pro Launcher, ChompSMS, UltraKeyboard, ATK, plus another 20 or so that I really like. Spent a ton of time fine-tuning settings, finding apps that work for me, etc.

So now here's this big Froyo update dealio.

My only ***** with the phone is that at times it is slow. I think I have it tweaked pretty well. Battery life is good. Very few of those fc's. I like it... just wish it would run a little faster at times.

So I gather the update to 2.2 does help it run faster... BUT my issue here is will I lose the apps I've worked so hard to find and tweak? I also love the idea that I can move some apps to the card... how cool! now I can have more apps!! :)

I'm esp. wondering about LauncherPro. I love this app.

If I hate 2.2, can I go back?

Any help is very appreciated!!!!! I don't wanna lose my cool apps/setup!!!!

Froyo wont make your installed apps go away. Although, some may not me 100% compatible with 2.2 but most if not all will be.

I think it is worth the upgrade.

I too am new to the droid and was wondering what would happen to my apps with the update. Well I went a head and updated. Out of the 40 apps I had on the phone before the update, 40 were still working after. I don't think you have anything to worry about. It will change your home screen on you but all you need to do is switch back to launcher pro and you will be set.
