Blackberry to Thunderbolt

As a one time die hard BB fan I assure you Android can do everything you love about BlackBerry and then some, either via a setting or app. A little research and you'll find things such as tricking gmail into syncing outlook, bedside mode replacements, etc.you can find downloadable keyboards that look and feel more like the storms. Once you start getting into rooting and roms, over clocking and kernels you'll quickly realize the power that's in your hand. Plus were supposedly getting a stripped down version of BBM sometime in the near future. BlackBerry was an amazing device, it just isn't evolving at the pace the competition is and rapidly loosing its appeal to many. Even crackberry.com used to be a way of life for me but you will quickly get settled here on the AC forums and feel right at home. Welcome and enjoy the ride.

Overall I have no regrets from switching to the Thunderbolt from the BB Storm2.

The one issue I have is with notifications and pop-ups. My 2 fav BB Apps were BeBuzz and BerryPopup.

I haven't been able to find anything similar with the "Market".

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Wow, there are a lot of us ditching Storms for the Thunderbolt. Glad to see I'm not alone. To be honest, since I'm already on Gmail, I don't think I'll miss BIS's vaunted e-mail service, because new mail usually hits my Galaxy Tab first. I will miss having the Today Screen, and the convenience and mute buttons on the side. And having a Galaxy Tab already, I find that I'm not trying to press the screen, in fact, I don't think I'll miss SurePress as much as I thought I would. I sure as hell won't miss the browser.

SurePress and the Browser were 2 key factors in my switch.
