Questions about buying S26U and who to order from pre order other than samsung.

From my experience with Best Buy they don't refund sales tax on phone trades. They do for other devices. So, I went to Best Buy and spoke with a manager. She confirmed the sales tax will not be refunded after they will get my trade-in. Went with Samsung.com and smaller storage for better price.

Update: I tried to preorder today S26 Ultra with S25 Ultra as trade-in on Best Buy website and the description of the trade-in process on the checkout page does state that the taxes will be refunded after trade-in is received. Go figure. Very confusing. That manager probably doesn't know much after all.

Another thing I remember with best buy on new releases, they are usually late on getting them.

Yes, They are known to be late and you don't get it till the exact release date. We used to do Best Buy all the time due tp easy trade-ins. But back when I got my Flamingo Pink S10+ I thought I would never get it. We were going out of town and I was calling all the Best Buys near by on the way home to see if anyone had one.

I remember that!! It took forever for u to get a phone.

I can live with my phone coming a little late if it happens to save that $200 on the storage upgrade. In reality I'm still perfectly happy with my S23U except for battery life but I knew I'd better trade this year to get a good $$$ trade in...

I did not want to trade in my S24ultra. so for me Best Buy was betteras I was able to get S26U 512gb and am trading in a Google Pro 10 xl which I got more for at Best Buy then Samsung. My cancel button is gone and it says preparing to ship get by 3/11 so that's fine for me

I love my 24 Ultra I kind of want to keep it for a backup LOL! I wish I had another phone to trade in. I have an old iPhone 8 plus that was my dad's LOL it's probably worth $25.

My Best Buy order shows zero tracking but still says it should be here by March 11 despite cancellation button still being visible. I chatted with a BB Supervisor this morning and said there is no way the phone will be arriving on promised date if it hasn't shipped since they are never shipped overnight. He asked me to hold and checked his system and came back saying ftom what he could see tracking may not be correct and I should expect phone tomorrow. I told him I expect a HEFTY CREDIT if order is late and he said to come back tomorrow for compensation if indeed order is late. I screenshot entire conversation including his name. I ended chat by saying I'll be back for credit tomorrow so get it figured out!

I fully expect it to be late but I WILL get some kind of recompense for it...
