Blade Runner movie?

Fairly common but only with the older crowd or the cult following. I do hope our Nexus-7 last longer than the Nexus-6 with the 4 year life span.

Mind sharing the connection? It's been a long time since I seen that movie and don't remember much about it

It actually goes all the way back to the Philip K. Dick book. The androids ("Replicants" in the movie) were of the Nexus 6 product line.

Dick's daughter threatened a lawsuit back when the original Nexus devices were announced, butI never heard how it turne dout.

I tried posting an answer, but I would guess that using the author's name flagged the post for Moderator review. :-\ Please stand by...

Don't forget the Nexus reference in the movie Star Trek - Generations

Heh, in 4 years these things will be the tablet version of a door stop; i.e., long in the tooth and technically geriatric.

Ya, in only 7 years we will be in Blade Runner... it was suppose to have taken place in Nov 2019.

I'm usually very happy if a PC lasts 4-5 years.

If they still work, they'll be a good hand-me-down in 2-3 years
No. Even in 4 years I don't think my grandparents will be using a Nexus 7 tablet.

Although grandma does have a Kindle e-reader now. So maybe..........
