Has anyone taken all icons
off the home screen and just have a full uninterrupted shot of your wallpaper? I have my most used apps on the edge and I still have a home button, that can barely be seen, to take me to all apps.

If you're using Nova Launcher, you can remove the home button and use a gesture (like swipe up) to get into the app. Drawer.

A very nice look.

I had my wallpaper adjusted to sit just right on my screen and arranged my most used apps around it.

i use Apex launcher that has gestures,I want to see an uninterrupted picture from my weather camera live. If i want my apps i double tap.
