Block OTA updates on Note 10.1 (2014 edition)???

Controversy aside, now I'm REALLY curious as to whether root on the Note 3 and tablet will block OTA or not haha. I was under the impression that it would, but now I'm not sure anymore.

I see a lot of people fighting on here whether or not this device gets OTA while rooted and how to block it.

I have this device, I rooted it the day I got it (a few months ago) and disabled KNOX. I just received an OTA today.
What I want to know is, since obviously the rooted devices still get OTA's, can I install this safely without losing root or bricking my tablet? I ONLY rooted it and disabled KNOX, I have the stock rom on it still and the stock recovery.
