AC Question

I paired my Note 3 with my car stereo (a Boss). I didn't like it always trying to answer the phone with my car stereo. I took the stereo off the Note 3, but now every time I try to start the car it tries to pair with my phone. Is there any way to add a device to be blocked from attempts on the Note? I can't get a response on how to turn it off on the stereo. Thanks for any help.

Hi and welcome to Android Central.

Can you simply turn off bluetooth? Unfortunately you need to change it on the boss end. There should be a setting somewhere to unpair it on the car stereo somewhere.

You could try renaming the phone, this is done in bluetooth settings.

Thanks for the reply. I can't turn of bluetooth because of my watch. It's just distracting. I've looked all over the stereo and can't find a setting. Nothing in the manual about unpairing either. I've submitted two support tickets to Boss, called 4 times with no answer waiting in line, even talked to the operator and left a message for the head person. No luck. I can try changing the name though, if nobody else has any suggestions.
