So I keep seeing posts and videos about how you can monitor your blood pressure using your Galaxy watch. It is done using the Samsung health monitor. When I go to the health monitor app there are two selections. Sleep apnea and EKG. Where is the blood pressure and how do I set it up for my ultra 7.?

I gave up on Samsung getting BP approval. When I got the GW4 classic, I hacked it using this post on the xda forums. Been using it ever since.

The developer has automated the install and update process next level. When I set up my 7 ultra, I restored it from a GW6 classic backup with the BP setup installed. Didn't have to do anything except calibrate the BP app with my BP cuff.

Go check it out. Buy the guy a coffee!

Good Lord, is there a Cliff Notes version of this?

I wouldn't mind trying but that thread is quite old at this point and includes so many different variants.

I don't think there's any way to do this other than using adb and following the steps... Is the info we need in the first few posts by the Dev or is there info spread throughout that thread that we will need to know?

It is an old thread, and long, but everything you really need is on the first page. It has instructions for both Tizen and WearOS installs. I suggest watching this YouTube tutorial for WearOS install (Watch4 and later) to see if you want to give it a go.

Good Luck!

I was using Dante's work for quite a while on both my Husband's & my Watch 6 Classics.

That being said, I really don't think Samsung's BP sensors or the program are all that great. No matter how much I calibrated the watch BP, it was never close to being as efficient as my professional standalone unit. I didn't expect it to be perfect, but in the ballpark would have been nice. The readings were really off for the both of us, very low.)

Dante is dedicated to this project, been doing it for years. I think it goes back to the Watch 3. He is very considerate & is helpful in assisting people. He doesn't alter Samsung's original files, he just has a couple of free apps that run alongside Samsung's. (You are welcome to donate to his project if so inclined)

If I thought it was dangerous, or illegal, I wouldn't have tried it or even mention it now.

His video simplifies the whole process. I had no problems getting it to work on both of our watches. The people who have the most problems are the individuals trying to get a non Samsung phone to pair properly with a Samsung watch.

Sorry, so long of a post.... 🙁

So, has anyone tried this on the Ultra? It's supposed to have updated sensors for everything else so I'm curious if the Ultra's unlocked BP monitoring is more accurate.

Geez, so on the fence about this watch. I LOVE my 47mm GW6 Classic, but the spoiled brat in me wants the newest toy.

For me, I just do not want to go back to touching the display to navigate through tiles, dismiss notifications, etc. I don't like the lack of reverse wireless charging but could learn to live with it. Had Samsung made the crown a rotating crown, I would be posting pics of my Ultra right along with you guys.
