Blu Advance 5.0 Voicemail Notification

I've got a Blu Advance 5.0 phone on AT&T network - I set up the voicemail just fine - the phone has no problem receiving voicemail and you can retrieve it no problem. There's just one issue - the phone does not show any notification whatsoever that I have a voicemail waiting. Does anyone know how to turn this notification on? Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Apps>All, select Phone (or Dialer), and make sure the Show Notifications checkbox is checked on. Usually, this can't be unchecked in the first place, but it won't hurt to look.

Thank you for the welcome and your quick reply! Unfortunately, I tried this already - you're right, it cannot be unchecked. The phone has no problem with other notifications - text messages, emails, etc. I'm scratching my head over why on earth it wouldn't alert you that there's a waiting voicemail. I've been through all the documentation I could find on the phone too (which isn't much). It's bizarre.

If you open the Phone app, tap Menu>Settings, and bring up the Voicemail Setup menu, what do you see there? Is there an option to set a notification sound and vibration?
