Screen went black today and I have already tried the power and vol. Down nothing anyone seen this before??

Can you tell if the phone is still on, with just a blank screen? For example, is it still making sounds or vibrations?

It's still on when I call it it still rings

The screen has probably failed, then. You probably have to bring it to a repair shop to fix. Before that, though, try forcing a shutdown by pressing and holding Power for about 15 seconds. Wait a few seconds, and then power on again normally. If nothing shows up on the screen, then the screen is dead.
