Blu life play, Android 4.4 apn settings

Updated blu life play to the kit kat yesterday but now I can't edit the apn settings. I click on add new apn but it doesn't do anything. Anyone know a fix? (straight talk)

Same here. Searching for a solution. Clicking "New APN" does nothing. I went to Blu's website and put in a service ticket. Maybe if enough do that they will respond.

Hi. I had the same issue and found your post. I took mrjfelts' advice and contacted Blu.

While waiting, I switched the slots of the two SIMs I use. My problem SIM (Golan Telecom in Israel) finally let me add the APN info. The T-Mobile US SIM worked in both slots.

Had same problem - Blu Life Play just updated to Kit Kat on Straight Talk. Couldn't amend APN's. Had to factory reset phone...then I could amend APNs. BUT -- previously working APN settings no longer allow for MMS. I can send text messages, but no pics. Have tried many different APN settings found around the net...nada. Need help with correct APN settings for AT&T SIM on Straight Talk.

Thanks rttkm! Factory reset allowed for APN Settings creation. Data working. Pic text working. Group texting not right yet. Maybe you can find something on a site called ( apn dot gishan dot net ) . (I can't post a link on here yet) I'm on Airvoice and found some useful settings there. Good luck! Haven't heard from Blu yet...lol.

Seems to be all working now. After factory reset and using the APN settings from the site listed above, the last thing I had to do was, after clicking "Access Point Names" - on the next screen that names the APNs that I created: make sure the blue circle on the right is selected on the last APN that was created, the mms APN. That got picture texts and groups texts (MMS) working well for me. Hopefully that adventure is over!

I've used my Blu Life Play with Chromecast since the update to KitKat. Did you get it working?

How did you get it to work with Chromecast? How do I use the 'Cast Screen' feature?
