BLU Studio Max Camera Screen Icons

There's a column of icons on the camera screen. When in the still photo mode, what does the one that looks like a video camera do? It seems to be related to HDR mode since when it's off (I guess - with the \ through it) the HDR icon appears, and when it's on (no \) the HDR icon disappears.



FWI - I didn't really choose this camera for its features. I had a Vivo XL that BLU was unable to repair under the warranty and didn't have any more in stock, so they gave me the Studio Max as a replacement. I wish I had the Vivo XL (for many reasons).

It could be Burst Mode. See what happens if you press and hold the shutter release button, first with that option off, then with it on. If it doesn't take a burst shot when the line is through that button, then you have your answer. It'd make sense, since HDR would probably be turned off for Burst Mode -- it might tax the CPU too much to process HDR for a whole string of shots taken at a time.
