Hi.
I just purchased a new BLU Studio XL 2 Android version 6.0.
First task I did was to insert a SD card. Transferred music from my laptop to BLU. Played Google music. Worked Ok. Have not inserted a Sim Card.
Connected to WiFi. Launch Google Chrome click add google account. Message displayed.

“Couldn’t sign in.

There was a problem communicating with Google servers
Try again later”.

Tried launching Google Play store received same message.
Cleared the Cache & Data from Google Play, Account Mgr, Play Services
Did a Force Stop on Google Play, Account Mgr. No change.
Tried Factory Reset same error message.
BTW. Google Play Service grays out Force Stop and Disable button.

Removed SD card, Rebooted Same message.
I have an existing google acct used with my laptop.
As I mentioned before this is a brand new Phone.

My phone is not rooted.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Have you tried it on different wi-fi networks, or only your home network?

Yes went to Starbucks and launched Google Play Store, + trying to add a Google Account. Same message displayed above. Not sure if this is a WIFI issue. Back in 2015 you AC forum had a similar discussion. Someone suggested Google Play Services is outdated. To fix this requires installing a new GPS version from apkmirror. Should I go that route? This is a brand new phone. Never used.

When you went to Starbucks, did you also go to the main Settings>Accounts menu, then Add Account (rather than going to the Play Store and trying to add your account there)?

Ok.
I got it to work. Went to StarBucks again(my wifi has been down for week).
Login to SB wifi, went to Google Play Store received same error message stated originally.

Launched Chrome. Screen displayed “Your connection is not private
return back to safety
” Previously, I exited out of Chrome.
Today, I just continued to the next screen.
Google search engine displayed normally. Launch google play store without error message.
Not sure if this was the correct path to remove this error or I just got lucky.

So you could only access the Play Store from Chrome? Something's still wrong, then. Also, when I see that "Your connection is not private" message, I usually can't proceed, so I'm not sure how you were able to.

Try this: when you're on the Play Store website and you select an app, are you able to install it to your phone? That is, when you tap the Install button on the website, and you see the list of available devices to install to, does the Studio XL2 show up?

@ B.Diddy.

Hi. i've tried to recreate the "Your connection is not private" message at StarBucks, I just get in successfully now. I do remember looking/clicking at the bottom of the left page a message stated "Proceed to xxxx site" when when private msg window displayed.

I was able to download and install magjcJack and monopoly from playstore having signed into Google Acct.

Maybe this helped me. Before I launched Chrome 4 days ago I did clear all data related to "Google"
But I still wasn't able to launch Playstore and just Launch/connected Chrome via backdoor with the private msg.

Ok, well that's progress.:) But I'm not sure where you're at regarding the Play Store. You said you were able to install MagicJack and Monopoly from the Play Store, but was this through the Play Store app or the Play Store website on Chrome?
