BLU Vivo 5: Who's getting one?

I'm using Nova launcher and i haven't had that happen. That's a little weird. Did you try turn off the power saver mode?

This should be independent of the launcher your using (I am using APEX and you NOVA) as its part of the Amigo UI that comes with the Blu Vivo 5. Are you saying that when your phone battery drops below 15%, you do not see orange bars at the top or bottom of your screen----which means Battery Saver mode is on (How to set up battery saver mode on Android 5.0 Lollipop | Greenbot).

The point I was making is that it is always switched on and there is no way to turn it off. If you go into the Power Management settings there is no option to toggle it on or off or set the % for when it goes on (I am not talking about Stand Intelligent Power Saving, I am talking about another mode called Battery Saver mode---see the link above).

Appreciate if you could let me know. Perhaps I will try Nova if you do have a different experience.

I have a question. There are two Power Saving modes in Android Lolipop:

1-Standby Intelligent Power Saving (where there is a toggle to turn it on and off under Power Management Settings)
2-Battery Saver Mode (where there is supposed to be a toggle to turn it on and off under Power Management Settings. But I can't find it and conclude it is missing?).

For #2 above, since you can't toggle it always seems to be on and kicks in when your battery drops below 15%----you know this when you see organe bars at the top and bottom of your screem.

Do you have this problem too?

Nope, i don't see any orange bars when my battery is below 15%. All i see is a notification i can't swipe away that says my battery is low.

This is really weird. Since this is a system setting it should not make a difference which launcher you are using---as it won't impact a system setting. Would you mind answering the following:

1) Please check your About Device. Are you on:
- Android Version 5.1
- Android Security Patch Level 2015-12-01
- Kernel Version 3.10.65+
- Build Number BLU_V0050UU_V09_GENERIC 28-01-2016 01:48

2) Please open Power Management Setting. Do you have the Standby intelligent Power Saving feature turned on (meaning box is checked)

3) Did your phone come with a preinstalled System Monitor App? Meaning there is a an App called System Monitor on your phone?

1) I checked my Android version, everything looks up to date
2) my intelligent power saving is on.
3) I checked my phone, i didn't see system monitor installed.

Thanks for checking. Well, I am at a loss. For some reason on my Gold color device battery saver is switch on (with the orange bars etc). And I do not know how to turn it off. From my view it looks like it is not possible to switch it off---if there is its not obvious how to do so. I still don't think its something to do with customer launchers----I might try a system reset first (or just leave it too as its no harm but just baffling). Thanks again.

I found where it is. Go to advanced settings then accessibility, and you'll see battery saver.

Oh sorry about that, that's not wear it if, I'm not sure actually

Thanks for checking Erika. I decided to keep the phone. Its very good all around and other than 1) I can't turn off battery saver at 15% and 2) I can't control the volume level of a custom sound applied to messages/notifications (unless I am just missing something the phone is excellent. <Resolved. Its tied to the Ringer Volume>

If it continues for two years then I am sold on Blu products going forward.
