im having some problems here. Ive rooted my past phones, and this phone before. ive unrooted it twice now to do the past two ota updates from tmobile. i did the 4.1.2 update a few days ago and now i need to re-root it. i have NO idea what i did wrong, but ive followed the same guide i always use, i used odin 3.07, did it just like the other times, but now when i reboot, it plays the song, but the screen stays black, and i have a blue led on.

any ideas at all.

argh.

ok i think ive narrowed the problem down. for whatever reason my computer (win 7 64bit) does NOT like installing "base system device" drive, as well as mtp device driver. both of these fail.

anyways i plugged in my mother s4 and it installed all drivers fine. tried my s3. no go. mind you, ive done like 3 fresh installs of kies, and other drier related work trying to fix this.

im basically at the point of trying to install some form of stock rom and make it work. as i have no way of copying files to my internal sd card, i am literally using odin to flash a stock rom through the usb cable, 1.1gigs worth...

we shall see if this stock rom fixes my problem.

ok that finished, and for whatever went totally wrong, everything is fixed now.

god forbid, please dont try and root 4.1.2! its 4am now, i have to be up at 7am. ugh

as a follow up, i tried re-rooting the phone today. used odin to flash the cwm? or cwa whatever it is recovery, then installed superuser zip from internal sd card. worked fine??? no issue. phone is rooted properly. i have NO idea what i did wrong the first time.
