blue tooth pairing

I can't get my contacts to transfer from my EVO Shift to my EVO LTE. I set both phones to bluetooth, it paired with the Shift but says not connected on the Shift.

Don't your contacts automatically transfer over when you log into your gmail account on your new phone?

Your Google contacts will sync via your Google account when you setup your new phone. If you have phone contacts you can export them to the SD card, install the SD card in the new phone and import them.
