Nope, tried it. Doesn't work. So much for hope.i found the ANSWER GUYS. go to all apps and go to settings, there go to volume and then increase the volumehope this helps
worked for me
Nothing here has worked so far. My story: Installed latest BlueStacks as of Aug 20 on my Win 7 Pro. Added a simple .apk file of my own that makes a sound. It worked. I installed firefox, went to youtube.com, and tried to play a video. No sound. Also my .apk that used to work does not now. On the volume mixer, there is a BlueStacks App Player adjustment. It is set to min. If I move it up, it gets set back to min if I do anything in BlueStacks. This is non optimal.
Followup 8-24: Clean reinstalled BlueStacks for the ?th time. The sound is working now. I found that the App Player adjustment in the volume mixer does not control the sound. There is an adjustment labeled name not available that does adjust and does not get set to min on its own. Actually everything is working very well right now except for one thing. Snapchat will not launch.
I FOUND THE FIX 100 PERCENT ...for windows 7
NOTE: WHEN U GO INTO SOUND PANEL A SCREEN MIGH POP UP AND SAY THIERS ENHANCEMENTS THAT MAKE YOUR SOUND NOT WORK PROPERLY. it will ask if you want to disable.. the answer is YES!!
goto control panel. then goto hardware and sound. click on sound. goto tab "communications" make sure its on "due nothing". then goto sounds tab. select Astik under windows and do a test u should hear sound but if not dont worry just continue. sound or not goto playback. now if u have hdmi make sure u double click click HDMI then goto "enhancements" tab click the box that says disable all enhancements..... THATS THE PROBLEM THERE IS THE ENHANCEMENTS. DO THE SAME FOR IF you have external speakers or headphones.. its not a bug in BLUESTACKS its a setting that ur computer automatically does when you install bluestacks... i gaurentee this will work 1 million percent ...
